Students in Climax-Scotts Junior/Senior High School's Drama Club have returned from winter break and have begun rehearsals for this spring's play, "Murder's in The Heir." Under the direction of Panther Pride Club rockstars Jackie Longman and Traci Godbee, Panther actors Grades 6 through 12 are readying for performances Saturday, April 13 at 6:30 PM and Sunday, April 14 at 1 PM in the C-S Cafetorium.
"Murder's in The Heir" is a play written in the spirit of the board game Clue. Most characters in this comedic mystery have the weapon, opportunity, and motive to commit a murder most foul. Possibly best of all, the audience gets to decide "whodunit!" Those attending both April performances will very likely will see two completely different outcomes!
With many plays as both an actress and director on the C-S stage under her belt, Jackie is looking forward to another successful year of Drama Club. "What I look forward to most is seeing how the kids learn their character from beginning to end. Their confidence grows so much during the season. You love to see it," said Longman.
When asked what she was looking forward to most in her latest outing as a director, Traci told CSDN, "I like watching the older kids mentor the newer students. We're all one, big, inclusive team!"
The Drama Club will be hard at work the next few months learning their lines, honing their characters to bring the Climax-Scotts Community an evening and afternoon of delightful entertainment for the whole family.
We hope to see many of you there!
