Election Inspectors Still Needed for Climax Township, Deadline to Apply Wednesday



Two weeks back, CSDN ran the article being reiterated below. Climax Township is still in need of additional Election Inspectors for the February Primaries.

With Michigan Primary Elections coming up fast February 27, Climax Township is currently seeking Election Inspectors. Election Inspectors are crucial to the processes and integrity of elections of all scales. The position is also a great way to learn more about your community as well as local government.


In order to apply to be an Election Inspector, the only requirement is one needs to be a registered voter in the State of Michigan.


Approximately two hours of paid training is required and given by Kalamazoo County. Additional training and review is done at the Climax Township Hall as needed. The next scheduled training is Thursday, February 8. Please contact the Township Clerk for more information at 269.746.4103


Election Inspectors have the choice to work all day or half the day. On Election Day, work begins at 6:15 a.m. and polls close at 8:00 p.m. when closing procedures start. The Absent Voter Counting Board processes absent voter ballots and typically starts around 4:00 p.m. and their closing process starts after 8:00 p.m.
