Eight entries in total came in from Climax-Scotts area kids ages 17 and under for the first ever Elven Idol Competition. In a barn-burner of a competition with a field of competitors ranging from ages 6 - 17, the esteemed panel of area judges has rendered their decision, and your co-winners are the saxophone duet of Cadence and Christian Kirkham, making their parents Chuck and Jenee Kirkham of Climax very proud!
Cadence and Christian will now be featured performers at United Methodist Church Saturday evening as part of Caroling on The Corners. A concert and singalong featuring the Climax-Scotts High School Band and Choir, under the direction of Karla Evans, starts at 5 PM and lasts until approximately 6 PM. The winners will also receive their prize of a Nintendo Switch during the event.
Thank you to everyone who helped share and spread the word of this first of its kind contest. It is our hope to do this contest again in future years with even more competitors and more fabulous prizes!
And thank you to all the contestants and parents. We hope to see all the Elven Idol Contestants at Caroling on The Corners to help lead the community in song during one of our singalong numbers!
