How to File for Candidacy for Township Clerk Position Up for Election This Fall

Monday, CSDN shared news of the impending retirement announced of longtime Township Clerk, Marcia Lewis. Marcia announced at the recent Township Board meeting she would be retiring at the end of her current elected term. That terms ends November 20, 2024.

Parties interested in running for election for the position of Township Clerk are able to begin their processes needed in order to list their name on this fall's ballot. That involves filing two forms, available for pickup at Township Hall.

The forms required are a Nominating Petition and an Affidavit of Identification. Both forms are due no later than April 23, 2024 at 4 PM.

Those who fail to complete necessary paperwork by the deadline will still be able to run, but as a write-in candidate in November.
