The popular social gathering, Caroling on The Corners returns to Downtown Climax Saturday, December 2. This year a new contest joins the fray and aims to create a fun and spirited competition for Climax-Scotts Community youth!
Elven Idol presents an opportunity for the kids of the C-S area ages 17 and under to showcase their musical talents! Entry is a two-step process. Step one requires parents to email climaxthepodcast@gmail.com, Subject: Elven Idol. Once the initial email has been received, parents will receive a response with more information on how to submit their children's video for consideration. The response is not automatic, so please be patient waiting for replies.
The contest is open to both singing and instrumental performers with individual and group performances eligible for entry. Submissions must be a holiday centric song. Submissions also MUST be entered absolutely no later than November 30 and are strongly encouraged to be entered ahead of the deadline. The original due date has been pushed back from the original Elven Idol announcement as many will learn of this contest in next week's issue of the Climax Crescent. We want as many entries as possible to give everyone a chance to win!
Oh, and folks probably want to know that part too... What can the kids win?!
The winner, as selected by a panel of esteemed area judges, will be a featured performer as part of the Caroling on The Corners events AND will take home a Nintendo - Switch with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle! What a great, early gift for the talented winner(s)! There is only one Switch to be given away, so please take this into consideration prior to entry for any group performances.
